Yes, it's been public information for a while now, but today the rides have gotten names.
Falcon's Flight is a Huss Condor attraction. Riders board a cabin, then begin to spin around in a motion similar to a Scrambler. However, this is much more intense than that, at the ride then climbs a 100 foot tower and swings the cabins over the ground below.
Mustang Runner is a Huss Troika, similar to those that many other parks are receiving. The motion is similar to that of Falcon's Flight, except the ride's arms swing around instead of climbing a tower.
Both rides will be unique to the area, and will bring back a lot of memories for those familiar with the models. We've known about this addition for quite a while now.
Here is what the park had to say about WinterFest: "Families will be able to ring in the holidays next season and enjoy what is sure to be a new family tradition. WinterFest is coming to Worlds of Fun, showcasing 16 favorite holiday characters, spectacular light displays, ice skating, and festive live entertainment. The park will be transformed into a winter wonderland for six weeks beginning November 24, 2017."
All of this comes with a redesigned front gate and plaza to enhance guest experience.
Reason: While similar to Dorney, at least we knew this was just going to be a family addition far beforehand. Condors are unique rides, unlike a Bumper Car ride. WinterFest is the real reason why the grade got a bit of a bump.
